Minutes 15 November, 2002 Present: Bonnie Blackwell, Dacre Holloway, John Winson, Brenda Noble, Bruce Beacham Host), Gwilys Price, David Redfern (host), Marian Thornton, David Pankhurst Apologies: Martin Smith, Mike West Minutes of Previous Meeting These were approved and signed. Matters Arising John Winson had won the monthly share competition with his share S Daniels whose price had risen by 49%. John Winson and David Pankhurst had investigated moving the dealing account to an internet based provider and were recommending we move to Comdirect, a subsidiary of Commerzbank. Barclays, our present dealer would charge £15 per share to transfer our holdings to the new dealer, but Comdirect would refund us a maximum of £100 of these charges. It was agreed we would use Comdirect for our new dealings and John and David would decide which of our current holdings would be transferred to this account. Treasurers Report The treasurer reported that we had £1850 available for investment. Share Monitors' Reports Our holdings were reviewed and it was decided not to sell any of our holdings but we would re-examine BAe Systems at the next meeting. It was also decided to investigate alternative Fidelity Investment Trusts with a view to transferring our European holding to one. Dealers Report We had sold our holdings in Colt and Ferraris and had bought Cadbury Schweppes. The details of these transactions are as follows: Colt sold at £0.27p/share, total proceeds = £287.06 Ferraris sold at £1.07/share, total proceeds = £173.03 Cadbury Schweppes bought at £4.2345/share, total cost = £817.57 Future Investments The following shares were put forward for consideration: Tesco (Dacre, Bonnie & Brenda) Propan Homes (John Winson) BP or Shell (Dacre) PHS (Gwilys) Vodaphone (Bruce) Capita (Bonnie) It was decided to purchase two shares @ £700, plus dealing charges, and the following were chosen: Propan Homes Capita Any Other Business Marion proposed that we have our January social meeting at Knights in Exmouth. This was agreed with Friday 10 January 2003 as the preferred date. She would confirm the booking with Knights. Next Meeting This will be on Friday 13 December 2002 hosted by David Redfern.
